Dr. Salah Almajthoob - Managing Director
Dr. Almajthoob is an experienced banker with expertise in Islamic finance. His experience covers various aspects of banking, Islamic finance, investments, Sukuk (Islamic Bonds), technology investments and business development. He is a business and product development expert with focus on financial, real estate and technology investments. He has more than 13 years of experience in investments and banking. Before establishing Jeyad Advisory, Dr. Almajthoob was the Managing Director of Special Projects at Bank Alkhair, Bahrain where he was involved with the restructuring of the bank and the reassessment of its investment portfolio. Prior to that he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Tharawat Investment House and prior to this he was at Kuwait Finance House, Bahrain. Dr. Almajthoob is also an Islamic finance trainer who taught many courses at AAOIFI, BIBF and other institutions.
Dr. Almajthoob is a Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA). He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, USA and an Executive MBA from University of Bahrain.
Dr. Hisham Dafterdar - Banking & Awqaf Advisor
Dr. Dafterdar is an experienced banker with more than two decades of experience in different banking posts. He is an expert in establishing and managing Waqf funds. He managed the Awqaf Properties Investment Fund (APIF) at IDB (Islamic Development Bank) for ten years. He held many senior executive posts in the GCC and the Far East including the CFO of ADNOC, Abu Dhabi. He is a Board member of the New Zealand Awqaf, Chairman of the Australian Awqaf, founder and Board member of the Canadian Awqaf Organization and an advisor for the International Islamic Awqaf Institute, Malaysia. He is also an accredited trainer for the IDB, an author of many papers and articles about Awqaf, and a regular participant and speaker at many of the Islamic Banking and Awqaf conferences.
Dr. Dafterdar has a PhD in Business Administration, USA. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Hasan Al-Eid - Director of Technology & Information Security Services
Hasan Al-Eid has more than 25 years of experience in information technology and information security working in both public and private sectors. He has worked for the government of Bahrain and several banks in Bahrain. His experience covers multiple areas of IT covering Strategy, Management, Operations, and Infrastructure. Also has experience in different platforms such as Unix, Linux, Windows and IBM Mainframes. Hasan has developed Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on ISO27001 best practice for several clients and assisted them to be ISO27001 certified. He also conducted many Information Security awareness workshops. Hasan is experienced in network and web applications penetration testing. He has been involved in most of the Government of Bahrain projects such as Government Data Network (GDN), DRP, Security Strategy project, Security Strategy Implementation project, E-Government project, and National Smartcard project. He established and managed the Government's Information Security Department.
Al-Eid holds a MSc in computer science from the University of Swansea, Wales, UK.
Thessa Plate - Business Development Manager—Europe
Thessa Plate was born in Eschweiler (Aachen) and raised in Heidelberg where she went to University and graduated as in German, English and Sport. She has been living in Bahrain since 2007 where she was running a business that introduces German services to the region particularly in the healthcare and German real estate. In 2016 Thessa joined Jeyad Advisory as a Business Development Manager to promote German real estate and European investments in the GCC region.
Thessa has been involved in the educational programs of the German Embassy in Bahrain for many years.
